Partnership agreement: capacity building for Royal Air Maroc staff and officers

The National Human Rights Council (CNDH) and the Royal Air Maroc (Moroccan airlines - RAM) concluded on Thursday, April 17 at the headquarters of the Council in Rabat, a partnership agreement aiming at human rights capacity building for the staff and officers of the national airlines.

Signed by the chairmen of the two institutions, this agreement aims at strengthening cooperation, consultation and coordination between the two institutions.

Mr. Driss Benhima, RAM Chairman, explained that his company aims, through this agreement, to promote the universal values of human rights, openness and tolerance among its staff and officers. It’s a prevention measure against any possible violation of the “negative behaviors”, he said.

Mr. Driss El Yazami, CNHD Chairman, indicated that it’s one of the initiatives that the CNDH has with its institutional, civil society and government and media partners for the promotion of the culture of human rights.

Under this agreement, a training program will be designed and implemented by CNDH appointed experts for the employees of the Moroccan airlines who are in constant contact with the customers of the company. Some 1500 RAM agents and officers will be concerned by this program, which will run over a period of three months.
