CNDH President Driss El Yazami awarded with Belgium’s oldest and most prestigious royal order

CNDH President Driss El Yazami received, on Wednesday January 24th 2018, a prestigious royal order from the Kingdom of Belgium. The Order of Leopold - Officer was given to Mr. El Yazami by Mr. Didier Reynders, deputy prime minister and foreign affairs minister, at the Belgian ambassador’s residence in Rabat.

The ceremony was held by Mr. Marc Trenteseadu, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Morocco. Friends and family members were invited to the ceremony, also attended by several Moroccan and foreign high ranking officers.

Mr. Didier Reynders met earlier with the representatives of the Council, as part of his official visit to Morocco. 

The Order of Leopold is the highest and oldest order of Belgium. It was established in 1832 and named in honour of King Leopold I of Belgium.
