The President of the Advisory Council on Human Rights (CCDH), Mr Ahmed Herzenni, and the Head of the Unit of External Relations and Cooperation, Mr Abderrazak Rouwane, headed for Geneva to attend the 20th session of the International Coordinating Committee of National Human Rights Institutions (ICC).

The four-day session (from 14 to 18 April 2008) addresses two main issues: the future organisation of the Committee (ICC), its functions, structure, funding ... and the setting in place of a mechanism for information sharing and communication between Committee members and regional bodies.

It is worth mentioning that the 20th session of the ICC sees the participation of more than 144 representatives from 62 human rights institutions, including 21 in Europe, 18 in Africa, 14 in Asia Pacific and 9 in Americas.
