The Regional Human Rights Commissions of Laayoune - Es-Samara, on Saturday, June 2, 2012, held a meeting with the moderators of the clubs for citizenship and human rights education, at the headquarters of the Regional Academy of Education and Training in Laayoune.
The Commission aimed to exchange with the educational stakeholders and involve them in the promotion of the culture of human rights, the protection of human rights and the democratic consolidation.
This meeting was held in line with the Commission’s efforts to cooperate and coordinate with all stakeholders to promote the outreach policy and the culture of human rights.
The participants discussed the situation of these school clubs in the region, their regional network and the participatory plan of action related to their activities.
This meeting is one of a series of meetings, to be held by the commission with the different regional stakeholders (the regional academy of education and training, the delegation of education, the moderatos of clubs for citizenship and human rights education and associations of students’ parents or guardians).
The objective is to come up with a plan of action for the next academic year (2012-2013) to promote the culture of human rights in schools, support and strengthen capacities in such clubs, strengthen coordination with them and enrich their reference guidelines.
